I hate winter.

What a brutally cold and cruel winter it has been in North America.  Weeks of sub-zero temperatures, lots of snow, freezing rain and no end in sight.

RSP "season" has come and gone for another year, the checks are all in the mail, and once again most CDN's wait until near the deadline.

Lil Phoenix and I, since arriving back to our Canadian home in mid January, have settled in for the duration.  It's nothing like his first few months.  Brutal cold weather hasn't allowed him to venture outside much.

After my Toshiba laptop hard drive succumbed to some Trojan horse/virus/worm or other, I had to go out and purchase a new machine.  One day I am going to move to Albania, where the most advanced piece of technology for most people, is a donkey!

We've busied ourselves around the house, setting up the wiring on the new laptop,  doing some furniture re-arranging in the living room, to better take advantage of the wood burning fireplace I didn't use for the first 14 years in this house.

A little laundry here and there, shifting paintings... dusting the surround system.

There has been a bit of time out for relaxation too.  Watching some random TV program or other.

Anna too has been busy.  After Mom signing her up for her first ski lessons at C.O.P. and my last minute well wishes to her about breaking a leg.  Skiing parlance for, Good luck...

Seems she decided to take me seriously, crashing while on the Bunny hill and indeed... breaking her leg!  She is now encapusulated from thigh to toe for the next 5 weeks.
