Summer? has left the building.

What little we had, has certainly gone...

During the month of September, I saw many sub 10C days. That's the way the year has been. Wet, wetter and cool.

Just having a conversation the other day with friends and our concensus was we had 1 (count em ONE!) day over 30C.

By popular vote, we agreed that there were more sub teen days than any of us could recall in a decade or even longer.

Needless to say, as a primarily Motorcycle Blog, there hasn't been much to write about. My trip to points West (Golden and Kamloops) on the T Bird, has been set aside, yet again for another year. After travelling the last two summers with Little Red on the Continent, I had hopes of a great year locally trailering/camping and riding my bikes.

Sadly, the Seca stayed in the garage all year, likewise the little Passport, DT50LC, and I didn't even start my other Serow. The only two wheelers that got any excerise at all were the little SD50 Sense, my good ole XT 600, the Thunderbird and my other Serow (albiet very little) I doubt very much if I accumulated more than 2500kms on all of them! Shameful, after 7 months and 20,000 k on the Divvie.

Everyone complained, even those farmers that usually are bent out of shape because of drought! They were swimming in ponds that normally aren't there.

There's been lots happening otherwise though, what with business, hailstorm damage and people to deal with. I'm headed to Glendale soon, perhaps for the winter. The little DR hasan't got much use either but if I can spend several months, it surely will. I'm thinking of taking my 600 with me, or perhaps buying something there locally. Wouldn't mind loading the bags and heading to Baja for a week or so... one of the reasons for the Phx purchase.

The Nieces may make a flying trip for a quickie visit this fall, and Brenda and Anna are booked to fly in December for a 3 week vacation from work and school. FIrst time for any of them in the Grand Canyon state.

So that is it for now, hopefully over the next few months I will have tales of desert rides to come...
